Ra’anan Alexandrowicz is a filmmaker and writer. Born in the city of Jerusalem in Israel / Palestine, Ra’anan now lives with his family in Philadelphia, PA. His slow cooked, award-winning work seeks to make the invisible visible and challenge political and formal conventions. Over the last two decades Ra’anan’s films premiered at venues such as Sundance, Berlin, and Cannes, and received prestigious awards - among them a Peabody award and a Grand Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Ra’anan’s latest film The Viewing Booth was named the Rolling Stone Magazine’s best documentary released in 2021. His current work in process, The Men in Gray explores personal and social temporality in contemporary human environment.
