JAMES’ JOURNEY TO JERUSALEM (2003, 90 min) In the imaginary village of Entshongwen far from western society, young James is chosen to undertake a mission - A pilgrimage to the holy city of Jerusalem. But in thus dark comedy - fable the trip to the Holy Land take some unexpected turns. At the airport James is suspected of trying to enter Israel in order to work illegally. He is jailed and destined for deportation. A "miracle" sends James a savior in the form of a cleaning contractor who "legalizes" workers at the international airport and from there on his journey towards an ever distant Jerusalem takes us through the heart of our economic system. With good teachers and some luck James learns to play the game towards an inevitable end.
